My life has been one of constant challenges and opportunities. Early in life I found myself overlooking high mountain passes to cross, vast desert plains to explore and endless rivers to run. I truly am at home in the open environments of the west. Coupled with my education that I received from the University of Utah, Bachelors of Science, Masters of Science and now completing my Ph.D. in Parks Recreation and Tourism the western persona of open lands and opportunities surrounds me like a warm camp fire on a star filled night. Woven with the tapestry of living in the magnificence of the Grand Tetons of Wyoming and now the deep red rock canyons of Zion country in Southern Utah a common thread of providing outdoor recreational opportunities challenging to all has blanketed my life. With the love and challenge of enabling all to reach new untold heights in life I can truly say “harness up partner, we’ve got a ways to climb.”
